World Jigsaw Puzzle Federation

The World Jigsaw Puzzle Federation (WJPF) is an international organization dedicated to jigsaw puzzles. It follows the Olympic standard, and brings together puzzlers from around the world for the World Jigsaw Puzzle Championship (WJPC). The goals of the World Jigsaw Puzzle Federation are to organize and supervise the WJPC, achieve the acknowledgment of jigsaw puzzle competitions as a sport, establish a standard on rules and regulations for jigsaw puzzle competitions, foster friendship among jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts worldwide, and stimulate innovations in the field of jigsaw puzzles. The current chair is Alfonso Álvarez-Ossorio.

Largest collection of jigsaw puzzles

The largest collection of jigsaw puzzles consisted of 1,047 different sets as of 9 July 2017, and belongs to Luiza Figueiredo (BRA), as confirmed in São Paulo, Brazil. Luiza started collecting jigsaw puzzles in 1967 and in 2010 she achieved her first world record with a collection of 238.
