55 Design

55 Design Ltd is a branding, design and communication studio based in Newark, Nottinghamshire, UK, which has played an integral role in the design process of numerous Guinness World Records books since 2005. Owner and Director Paul Deacon graduated from Falmouth School of Art in 1993 and established 55 Design in 2001. The first GWR book fully designed by 55 was the 50th-anniversary edition, and since then the studio has been involved in creating eight further titles. Some of Paul's most memorable moments working for GWR include meeting the tallest man (Sultan Kösen) and the shortest woman (Jyoti Amge). Other clients on 55's books include the National Archives, Canal & River Trust and The Parks Trust.

Largest monster truck

One of Paul's favourite records ever since he was a youngster is the world's largest monster truck. Bigfoot 5 is 4.7 metres (15 feet 6 inches) tall with 3-metre-high (10-foot) tyres and weighs around 17,236 kilograms (38,000 pounds). It is one of a fleet of Bigfoot trucks created by monster truck pioneer Bob Chandler (USA) from St Louis, Missouri, USA, and was built in the summer of 1986. Now permanently parked in St Louis, it makes occasional exhibition appearances at local shows.
