Aevin Dugas is an ICON, and has a gorgeous crown to prove it. 

The proud record holder from Reserve, Louisiana, rocks the largest afro: a beautiful head of natural, lovingly-nurtured curls that earned Aevin her first-ever Guinness World Records title in 2010. She went on to beat the record again in 2021 and 2022, when her natural afro measured a height of 25 cm (9.84 in) and a whopping circumference of 165 cm (5 ft 4.9 in) – the largest EVER in Guinness World Records history!

Aevin's au naturel journey began in her mid-20s, after she ditched harmful hair-straightening products and chemical relaxers to embrace her natural texture. 
“I didn’t decide to grow an afro as much as I decided to go natural,” she said. 
A core member of the beauty community, today the ICON continues to advocate for cultural pride and uniqueness while educating others on the benefits of a mindful haircare routine.
