The oldest gymnast is Johanna Quaas (Germany, b. 20 Nov 1925) who, aged 86 years, was still a regular competitor in the amateur competition Landes-Seniorenspiele, staged in Saxony, Germany.

Fastest 100m on a space hopper
The record for the fastest time to travel 100 m on a spacehopper is 30.2 sec and was set by Ashrita Furman (USA). Over the past three decades, Ashrita has made it his life’s mission to break as many records as he can. He’s set more than 600 records and currently holds over 200.
First crossing of the English Channel by paramotor/powered paraglider
Flying in a wheel-launched paramotor, or paratrike, Sacha Dench (UK) became the first woman to cross the English Channel in such a vehicle when she flew from Aeroclub du Boulonnais in France to Dover, UK, on 5 Dec 2016. It was part of a conservation project where she was following migrating Bewick’s swans from Russia to the UK.
Largest wild cat
The Siberian tiger (Panthera tigris altaica) is the largest wild cat. Native to eastern Russia, north-east China and North Korea, malestypically have a total length of 2.7–3.3 m (8 ft 10 in–10 ft 9 in) from nose to tail tip and weigh 180–306 kg (397–675 lb).

Meet the real-life Iron Man! Richard Browning (UK) sped through the air at 85.06 mph (136.891 km/h) at Brighton Beach in East Sussex, UK, on 14 Nov 2019.
Tallest man living
Currently, the tallest man is Sultan Kösen (Turkey) who measured 251 cm (8 ft 2.8 in) in Ankara, Turkey, on 8 Feb 2011.
Longest domestic cat
Barivel, a Maine Coon owned by Cinzia Tinnirello and Edgar Scandurra (both Italy), measured 120 cm (3 ft 11.2 in) from nose to tail tip on 22 May 2018. That’s longer than a baseball bat!
The locks of Xie Qiuping (China) measured 5.627 m (18 ft 5.5 in) on 8 May 2004. She has been growing her hair since 1973, when she was aged 13.
Youngest X Games athlete
Gui Khury (Brazil, b. 18 Dec 2008) was only 10 years 225 days old when he competed at X Games Minneapolis on 31 Jul 2019. Khury landed his first “900” (a two-and-a-half-revolution aerial spin) at the age of eight and landed another on his X Games debut in Minneapolis.

Greatest distance skied solo unassisted and unsupported in Antarctica
Richard Parks (UK) single-handedly skied 3,700 km (2,299 mi) during four Antarctic expeditions from Hercules Inlet to the Geographic South Pole between 18 Dec 2012 and 15 Jan 2020. Parks is from Pontypridd in Wales.
Jyoti Amge (India) is only 62.8 cm (24.7 in) tall, as measured in Nagpur, India, on 16 Dec 2011. She’s almost exactly a quarter of the height of Turkish titan Sultan Kösen, the world’s tallest man.

Gary Duschl (USA) has patiently linked together a 32.55-km-long (20.22-mi) string of gum wrappers, as confirmed on 10 Jan 2020. Gary has devoted more than 42,000 hours to creating his colossal chain, which incorporates 2,583,335 separate wrappers.

The farthest wheelchair ramp jump (WCMX) is 21.35 m (70 ft 0.5 in), achieved by Aaron “Wheelz” Fotheringham (USA) at Woodward West in Tehachapi, California, USA, on 20 Jul 2018.

Edward Niño Hernández (Colombia) measured 72.1 cm (2 ft 4.3 in) tall on 29 Feb 2020 in Bogotá, Colombia. The 33-year-old reclaimed the record he had last held in 2010, following the death of Khagendra Thapa Magar on 17 Jan 2020.

The youngest female with a full beard is Harnaam Kaur (UK). She was aged 24 years 282 days when her facial hair was verified on 7 Sep 2015. Harnaam is a model and motivation speaker who promotes body positivity and acceptance.
First person to visit Earth’s highest and lowest points
On 24 May 2010, proud Texan Victor Vescovo topped the 8,848-m (29,029-ft) peak of Everest, the world’s highest mountain. Then, on 28 Apr 2019, he reached the Challenger Deep at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean in the deep-sea submersible Limiting Factor.

As confirmed by the World Sailing Speed Record Council, the speediest single-handed, non-stop circumnavigation of Australia in a monohull vessel took 58 days 2 hr 25 min, by Lisa Blair (Australia). She set out from d’Albora Marinas Rushcutters Bay in Sydney Harbour on 20 Oct 2018 and returned there on 17 Dec.
Paul Hunn (UK) has reigned for 20 years as the “Burper King”, having first set a record for his deafening eructations in May 2000. His last official burp, measured on 23 Aug 2009 in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, UK, reached 109.9 decibels.
Most medals at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships
Simone Biles (USA) was born on 14 Mar 1997, and first tried gymnastics aged six. In 2013, aged 16, she earned her first World Artistic Gymnastics Championships medals: two golds. Simone now has the most medals in world championship history with 25 (19 of which are gold)!

The fastest motorized bathroom is the road-legal Bog Standard, a motorcycle and sidecar hidden under a bathroom set consisting of a toilet, bathtub, sink and laundry bin, which can travel to 68 km/h (42.25 mph). It was built by inventor Edd China (UK) and timed on 10 Mar 2011.

The 26 movies in the James Bond franchise from Dr No (UK, 1962) to Spectre (UK/USA, 2015) have grossed more than $7.11 bn (£5.74 bn) at the worldwide box office to date. The 27th instalment, No Time to Die, is due to debut in Nov 2020.

Gamers Jaden Ashman (UK), aka “Wolfiez”) and Dave Jong (Netherlands), aka “Rojo”, took second prize at the Fortnite World Cup Duo contest on 27 Jul 2019 in New York City, USA. That meant Jaden earned a cool $1 million in prize money, aged just 15 years 229 days.
