Oldest person to climb Mount Fuji - Kokichi Akuzawa aged 102 years and 51 days old

Kokichi Akuzawa climbed the Yoshida route. He started ascending Mt. Fuji on 3 August 2025 at 8:40 am. He stayed over for two nights during his journey towards the summit and reached the summit at 11 am on 5 August 2025. On the summit, he signed the visitor book at the Fujisan Sengen Shrine.
