MIAMI, FL. (September 9, 2019): Guinness World Records, the global authority on record-breaking achievements today announces that Latin artist and composer, Juan Carlos Ozuna Rosado, also known as “Ozuna,” of Puerto Rico, is an official Guinness World Records title holder and is featured in the newly released GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS 2020 edition.

Ozuna started his history-making career in 2018 after his album, Odisea, sat at the top of the charts for 46 consecutive weeks, from September 16th, 2017 through September 1st, 2018, achieving the Guinness World Records title for most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart (male).

This year, Ozuna was named as the most-watched artist on YouTube and is now officially recognized with the Guinness World Records title for artist with the most videos to reach one billion views on YouTube (7) in February 2019, themost Billboard Latin Music Award nominations for a single artist in a single year (23) on February 12th, 2019 and most Billboard Latin Music Award wins for a single artist in a single year (11) on April 25th, 2019.

Ozuna received his certificates and a copy of GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS 2020 during an official ceremony in his home country of Puerto Rico.

Ralph Hannah, Official Adjudicator of Guinness World Records said: “More and more Latinos, especially Puerto Ricans are headlining the lists of world records. The passion and enthusiasm that characterizes these stars have seen them reach the top of our rankings. Today Guinness World Records has the pleasure of officially honoring these great talents as deserving of a world-class record title.”

“I feel honored to receive these [Guinness World Records] titles, which validates how hard we’ve been working for the past years. I dedicate this, first of all, to God, and to my fans from around the world, who have been there supporting me since the beginning of my career. I am thankful to Guinness World Records for this important recognition,” added Ozuna.

In addition to his Guinness World Records titles, Ozuna stood out as the contemporary Latin composer of the year at the BMI Awards 2019 and topped the list of the 100 most influential people of 2019 in Time magazine. His second studio album, "Aura," debuted at number 7 on the Billboard 200 list of all genres and remained at number 1 on the Top Latin Album list for 17 weeks.

His impressive collection of accomplishments includes collaborations with other eminent urban Latin artists, as well as other megastars such as DJ Snake, Cardi B, Selena Gómez, and, most recently, the Spanish artist, Rosalia.

Ozuna is in good company- Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, and Victor Manuelle also appear on the pages of the newly released GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS 2020, now available in stores and online.

GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS 2020 includes thousands of new titles and record-holders that will inspire curious readers of all ages through topics spanning amazing animals and geographies, countless sports and musical achievements that have transcended borders.
