Italian artist sells over 200,000 tickets for a SINGLE concert as part of homecoming tour
Italian superstar Niccolò Moriconi (Italy), known professionally as Ultimo (Italian for 'Last') has shattered the record for most tickets sold for a pop concert by a male solo artist.
In a massive showing, his solo concert sold a staggering total of 250,332 tickets.
That’s enough to sell out London’s Wembley Stadium almost three times over.
His concert titled La Favola Per Sempre (The Forever Fairytale) acted as a landmark homecoming for the 30-year-old Rome-born singer/songwriter.
It was held at Tor Vergata, Rome, in the south-east area of the capital, on the university campus of Roma. A purpose-built open-air area and tickets sold out in just a few hours, a year before the event!
The concert was organized and produced by Vivo Concerti, an Italian tour promoter.

Despite the extreme heat, excited fans were so eager to get a glimpse of the star that some even camped outside the venue two weeks before the concert started.
Ultimo’s musical beginnings came at a young age as he began studying piano at only eight years old and writing songs at 14.

Ultimo was presented with his Guinness World Records certificate by Official Adjudicator Will Munford after his concert at Dingwalls in Camden, London, UK.
The record-breaking show has also been made into a film due to hit the big screen later this month.
For Ultimo, the fairytale is far from over with him embarking on yet another stadium tour next summer.
