Dog days all summer! Hundreds of pets join Chewy for record-breaking doggy pool party
Under the bright Florida sunshine, hundreds of doggies spent a paw-some Saturday lounging and splashing in pools, enjoying treats, and soaking up summer sun with the pet company Chewy, as part of a record-breaking attempt for the most dogs attending a pool party!
To celebrate the start of summer, Chewy hosted the event at "Chewy Bark Park", the brand's new pet-friendly space located within The Underline in Coral Gables, Florida, USA.
The event was planned with pets’ comfort and safety in mind, with hydration stations, cooling areas, and plenty of space for dogs and their people throughout the park.
With half of the park space dedicated to puppy paddling pools, and the other half featuring stations with free treats and toys – as well as advice from pet medical professionals – the event drew a record-breaking total of 276 canines to the park for this adorable puppy party.
“We are so excited about this Guinness World Records title, which is truly a one-of-a-kind moment for Chewy and the community,” said the event organizers. “Seeing hundreds of dogs splashing around and making memories with their people was pure joy, and a special reminder of how pets bring us together.”

Before the event took place, Chewy invited local pet parents to join the fun at Chewy Bark Park, informing them that their doggies would be included in a record-breaking experience.
And as such, tons of delighted attendees appeared with their pooches on 9 May to the city near Miami – though the most excited participants were definitely the dogs!
As soon as the enthusiastic animals rushed through the gates, they were met by "lifeguard crew" event staff who counted the total number of participating pups, before they entered pet paradise.

Within the park, dogs splashed around in pop-up pools located under shady trees, and explored all of the fun experiences that Chewy created for pets and their parents to enjoy.
The event featured games, treats, and prizes that attendees could take home for free – as well as stations highlighting Chewy Vet Care services, pet safety education, and dog CPR demonstrations from the local fire department.
“As a huge dog lover, this was a dream adjudication for me,” said Guinness World Records Adjudicator Thomas Bradford, who oversaw the event and confirmed the total number of attendees.
“I'm also an admirer of how Chewy operates as a company, so I was very happy to be able to assist them with this attempt.”
