As they say, everything’s bigger in Texas – including the food trucks!

Earlier this month, the shining black cab of the Ultimate Smoker & Grill (aka USG) pulled into a parking lot in Northlake, USA to take the Guinness World Records title for the largest food truck of all time.

Measuring in at 76 ft 7.68 in (23.36 m) long, 11 ft 1.07 in (3.38 m) high, and 14 ft 11.92 in (4.57 m) wide, this meat-filled behemoth has been bringing smoked barbeque to hungry mouths around the South for the last 30 years – and this time around, the creators wanted to make their title official.

In advance of a 2027 American road trip, where the food truck will stop at cities across the States, UGS submitted the truck for a record to recognize its extraordinary construction and celebrate its culinary history.

Guinness World Records Adjudicator Tina Shi went out to their homebase, near the truck’s origin point of Justin, Texas, to take in the site for herself – and award the trucking title on 10 October.

“This was an extremely special experience of adjudicating this attempt, and I am amazed by the vehicle's well-equipped facilities, as well as its cleanliness and modern design,” she said.

In addition to acting as an eye-catching spectacle, the USG is a full-service food truck that dishes up all kinds of smoked meats and sides for the barbeque-loving South.

Built from solid steel, the body of this massive rig was formed by a single piece of rolled steel, customized to fulfill all of your kitchen needs.

A 4,000 lbs (1,814 kg) smoker attached to the vehicle heats up chicken, sausages, brisket, and more, while the truck’s dual-griddles, pizza oven, and stovetops can service any type of function.

And outside the truck, a giant LED screen can stream American football games and other big pop culture or sporting events, while a DJ can take turns pumping out live music from the sound system affixed to the rig.

“We are very happy that this truck has become a new record, which gives us more confidence for next year's nationwide tour,” said the USG’s owners.

They also said that they know the truck “will perform perfectly and complete the journey successfully.”

And that said, hopefully it also performs deliciously!
