Drinks brand creates largest alcoholic punch made of rum to celebrate Caribbean culture
The Duppy Share and Reggae Land (both UK) have teamed up on a record that certainly packs a punch!
The drinks maker and reggae festival created the largest alcoholic punch, filled with rum.
Held in a massive oval glass, the bright orange drink measured 1,025.189 litres (222.510 gallons) in total.
This is a new record title with a minimum to beat of 1,000 litres (219.9 gallons).
The Duppy Share, an independent rum brand, partnered with Reggae Land, a UK festival held in Milton Keynes.
Reggae Land is held annually and brings the fun of Caribbean heritage and reggae music to the masses.
Marrying both brands’ ethos of celebrating the popular drink rum and its warm, vibrant links to Caribbean heritage.
The drink, aptly named "Duppy ‘Reggae Land’ Rum Punch", was made especially for the event to delight eager festival goers.

But before people could enjoy the drink, Duppy Share had to get stuck in to make it!
The alcoholic punch ingredients included rum, fruit juices, lime juice and bitters, including The Duppy Shares' own branded drinks.
The drink was made in Liphook, Hampshire, at The Duppy Shares' bottling and distribution centre in early July.
With a helping hand from The Duppy Share founder George Frost and musician Jae Edwards, pouring and mixing the various ingredients.

All under the watchful eye of the quantity surveyor and food hygiene specialist.
The Guinness World Records certificate was then awarded at the start of Reggae Land to an enthusiastic crowd.
The punch was served to over 5,000 festival-goers, putting The Duppy Share at the heart of UK rum culture.

To break a world record in partnership with Reggae Land feels like a true celebration of the culture, spirit and joy or rum. - George Frost, Founder at Duppy Share
