One of the most iconic skyscrapers of Singapore was lit up to break not one, not two, but three records!

UOB Plaza One – standing tall at 280 metres with 66 floors – was lit with a projection mapping display, and as a result, three Guinness World Record titles were achieved: the largest light output in a projected image, longest architectural projection-mapped display (temporary), and highest projected image on a building.

This visual spectacle was proposed by UOB Singapore (United Overseas Bank) and Hexogon Solution in line with the 60th anniversary of Singapore’s independence (SG60), with the country hosting a series of events throughout the year to commemorate the major milestone.

The projection mapping featured three integrated components, designed to celebrate the SG60 National Day Parade, UOB’s own 90th anniversary, as well as UOB Painting of the Year (Singapore’s longest-running art competition).

The projection mapping took over six months of planning, development and on-site testing. Multiple tests were carried out so that the visual content was aligned to the building. Interference from city lights was something they also had to tackle; calibrations were made to keep the display crisp and clear.

Upon successfully breaking three records, the team at Hexogon Solution is proud of what they have achieved.

Adrian Goh, Founder & Group Managing Director, Hexogon Group of Companies, said: “Achieving this milestone reflects not only our team’s dedication and innovation but also our commitment to pushing boundaries and building dreams on a grand scale.

“In the world of possibilities, I’m the builder of dreams. Opportunities do not happen; you create them.”
