Door and window company shields 51,000 cards from elements before record domino topple
Putting their products to the test, a Chinese window and door manufacturer staged an elaborate domino toppling display that they kept sheltered from the elements.
It was in Yunfu, Guangdongy on 11 April that a whopping 51,725 playing cards toppled like a flowing stream inside a 500-square-metre glass sunroom, securing a new Guinness World Records title for the most playing cards toppled in a domino fashion.
Foshan SUNHOHI Smart Home Technology Co., Ltd. crafted this "Ultimate Space" to cradle each feather-light card, showcasing the unmatched strength of its manufacturing skills.
The spark for this challenge came from SUNHOHI's unwavering commitment to quality living.
"We chose the intricate domino format to highlight our doors and windows' soundproofing, thermal insulation, watertightness, airtightness, and wind resistance," said Chao Yueliang, General Manager of SUNHOHI's Marketing Center.

Each 1.4-gram card, vulnerable to the slightest breeze, demanded a flawless environment. The Ultimate Space had to withstand South China's humid rainy season and a simulated typhoon, proving SUNHOHI's products in real-world conditions.
"Through Guinness World Records' global stage, we aim to spotlight door and window quality and reshape industry perceptions," Chao added.
The race began on 19 March, battling Guangdong's damp spring to erect the sunroom in just 14 days. Unlike standard 30-square-metre glass rooms, this structure required a perfectly level foundation to steady the cards. Storm machines - fans and sprinklers mimicking a typhoon - tested SUNHOHI's craftsmanship. Cement was poured, pillars fixed, and glass walls sealed, all under the looming threat of rainy delays. By 1 April, the sunroom stood firm, a fortress for the challenge ahead.

Wang Lei's Domino World team, with seven prior Guinness World Records titles, joined SUNHOHI staff to arrange the cards. Each card was hand-bent into an arc, ensuring no creases. Sorted by suit, they formed SUNHOHI's logo, mascot, and motifs.
On 8 April, under stifling heat and 96% humidity, the air conditioning was kept off to avoid disturbing the cards. Sweat and sore backs marked the nightly work.
"The 'click, click' of cards felt like a heartbeat, pulsing with hope," a staffer recalled. Setbacks hit hard: a collapse on 9 April forced a tearful restart, and on 10 April, a repair attempt ended in frustration. Yet, 51,725 cards stood ready.

On challenge day, the storm machines roared, but the sunroom held steady, cards unmoved. Adjudicator Peter Yang gave the signal, and SUNHOHI President Feng Zuoxing, alongside Wang Lei, tipped the first card. In three minutes, the cascade unveiled SUNHOHI's story, ending with lit signs and a flipped ad wall.
"They redid it countless times; the tears at success were unforgettable," Peter said. After rigorous counting, 51,725 cards surpassed the 50,000 minimum, earning Feng the certificate amid cheers.

Chao Yueliang recalled placing cards: "The storm raged outside, but our windows stood firm. A breeze from my pants toppled dozens of cards, and my heart sank."
The team rallied, finishing strong. Wang Lei said: "Unity forged this miracle - our tears and laughter prove it."
The 51,725 cards embody SUNHOHI's quality pledge. Chao envisions inspiring higher industry standards, crafting healthy, safe, quiet homes globally. With innovation and heart, SUNHOHI's doors and windows will shield every dream, no matter the storm.
