Akshar Yoga wanted to break several records to give yoga a wider platform while celebrating and highlighting human strength.
The record attempts were themed around holding different yoga poses.
A total of seven records were attempted on the day and five were successful.
The successful records were:

The event took place in Bengaluru, India, and participants trained extensively for a month.
On the day, participants gathered at the venue and stewards attended the attempt to help make sure poses were performed correctly.
Participants were sourced by a callout to Akshar Yoga's membership both in India and abroad, which was met with widespread enthusiasm!
People from all walks of life took part from government bodies to the army belonging to over 20 countries.
The records were attempted one after another which made it a challenging endurance experience for the participants.
After the attempt was over, two Official Adjudicators, Rishi Nath and Swapnil Dangarikar, presented five certificates to Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar.
Although Akshar Yoga missed out on two records, the team is planning a re-do to clinch those titles!
