Herbalife shattered the world record for the largest high-intensity interval training class (multiple venues)

In an impressive display of global fitness enthusiasm, health and wellness company Herbalife shattered the world record for the largest high-intensity interval training class (multiple venues).

The epic event united an astonishing 4,900 individuals participating in workouts simultaneously across six locations on 21 September.

Participants ranged from the Herbalife’s independent distributors and employees to fitness enthusiasts for whom the gathering reinforced the power of community in accomplishing a collective goal and empowering individuals to stay committed to their personal wellness journeys.

“Coming together from every corner of the globe, we have shown the profound impact of exercise and community on leading a healthy active lifestyle,” said Dr. Luigi Gratton, vice president of the office of Health and Wellness at Herbalife. “The success of the Herbalife Worldwide Workout is a testament to our independent distributors and their commitment to build communities where everyone is inspired to live their best life.”

The worldwide workout experience was also broadcast live from Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, and attracted over 11,000 fitness enthusiasts from various countries, including France, Romania, and China, who joined the event virtually via Herbalife’s YouTube livestream.

But it was the in-person events in key locations around the globe, such as Galaxy Park in Carson, California, USA, the Mexico Olympic Committee facility in Mexico City, and the Mumbai Convention Centre in Mumbai, India, that saw this become a record-breaking event.

Brittany Dunn, an official Adjudicator from Guinness World Records, confirmed that Herbalife successfully set the new record after carefully reviewing evidence coming from multiple countries.

Beyond the fitness milestone, this event reinforced Herbalife’s commitment to making a difference the communities it serves.

The company donated up to $40,000 to the Herbalife Family Foundation’s Casa Herbalife Program, an initiative dedicated to enhancing the lives of children and families in need by partnering with non-profit organizations in more than 60 countries to provide nutritious meals and nutritional education globally.

Herbalife is not new to the Guinness World Records family. The company previously broke the record for the largest high intensity interval training in 24 hours (multiple venues) with 3,907 participants in multiple locations around the world from 6-7 March 2015.

Congratulations to Herbalife on this incredible achievement.  You are Officially Amazing!

Through this global event, we have proven that by fostering a supportive environment and embracing well-being, we can achieve remarkable things – including setting a new world record. - Dr. Luigi Gratton, vice president of the office of Health and Wellness at Herbalife.
