Stars of the movie Tag have rallied fans to help them play the world’s Largest game of freeze tag to help celebrate the film’s release.
Cast members Ed Helms, Jon Hamm, Jeremy Renner, Jake Johnson, and Hannibal Buress joined in the fun at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas, US.
The record was inspired by the film’s plot, which consists of five best friends running in a no-holds-barred game of tag they’ve been playing since the first grade each month of the year.
Movie lovers, amusement park thrill seekers and everyone that’s ever yelled “not it!” were invited to join the cast in an effort to break the minimum of 634 people, previously set on the TODAY Show in 2017.
Adjudicator Philip Robertson was present to ensure all guidelines were followed, which included that the game of freeze tag be played for a minimum of 15 minutes even despite the 110 degree Fahrenheit heat!
After earning a new record with 661 participants, and receiving their official Guinness World Records certificate, all members were thanked with the cast inviting attendees to an exclusive screening.
