Last Saturday 30 May, crowds gathered outside the Twickenham Stadium in the build up to the Premiership Final that saw Saracens and Bath Rugby go head to head for the trophy.
Alongside the action, hundreds of rugby-mad kids lined up on the hallowed turf before their rugby heroes took centre stage to set a historic Guinness World Records title for the longest human representation of a mathematical equation.
The record recognized the longest line of people representing a different digit and symbol in a single mathematical equation and was organized by Aviva, proud title sponsors of Premiership Rugby. A total of 323 participants, mostly primary school children, formed a line across the rugby pitch with the equation measuring 125.8 m (412 ft 8.76 in).
For the purpose of the record, each participant held their own individual mathematical symbol that linked into a correct and solvable equation. The line also had to stay connected with each person holding their sign above their head for a minimum of 1 minute.
