A new world record has been set in the Emirate of Ajman for the world’s largest greeting card mosaic.

Measuring 117.71 m² (1,267.01 ft²), the mosaic, which formed the United Arab Emirate’s spirit of the union motif, was made to mark the 42nd UAE National.

Organised by the Ajman Tourism Development Department, around 4,000 people took part in creating the mosaic during an event on Ajman’s Corniche last week, with 4,085 postcards eventually making up the huge image.

It beat the previous largest greeting card mosaic created in Tomioka City in Japan) which measured 110 m².
