children drawing and painting during a creation station workshop

Guinness World Records (GWR) are teaming up with The Creation Station for the third year this Autumn.

To celebrate the launch of Guinness World Records 2021, The Creation Station are hosting a two-week GWR takeover of their workshops with themed arts & crafts for children across the UK!

The Creation Station is working with GWR to educate and inspire children whilst encouraging them to use imagination and creativity.

The founder of The Creation Station, Sarah Cressall said "We're thrilled to inspire children with some of the awesome Guinness World Records achievements and help children unleash their creativity and dream big!"

The GWR  themed workshops will be based on two separate chapters of the Guinness World Records 2021 book, "Epic Journeys" and the "Natural World".

However, unlike previous years, the workshops have a twist.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions currently in place, The Creation Station are adjusting to guidelines by streaming some workshops online.

This set-up means children and families can still take part, but from the safety and comfort of their own home.

Kids will discover more about record titles such as the tallest waterfall along with adventure record titles like the fastest climb of mount Everest and the youngest person to complete a solo circumnavigation by aircraft.

The world's highest waterfall, the Salto Angel in Venezuela. It has a total drop of 979 m (3,212 ft), with the longest single drop being 807 m (2,648 ft)

You can also get your children involved with GWR through our new kids records that we'll soon be making available to those under 16.

Kids can apply and attempt a variation of record titles that are designed just for them - more details coming soon!

You can find out more about the Guinness World Records workshops and other The Creation Station events via their website.

The workshops aren't the only place where you can explore epic journeys and the natural world records. Find these and more in Guinness World Records 2021, available to buy now.
