The Strictly pro dancers, including AJ Pritchard, Dianne Buswell and Kevin Clifton, have been competing for the title of most Botafogo dance steps in 30 seconds for the past two weeks on Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two.

This record was originally set back in November 2011, by former Strictly Come Dancing pro dancer Artem Chigvintsev (Russia). He achieved 79 Botafogo dance steps in 30 seconds.

Although Sicilian-born dancer Graziano nabbed the top spot, he was followed closely by fellow Italian Giovanni Pernice who received a total of 80 Botafogo dance steps after three steps were disqualified.

Giovanni won the Pro Challenge in both 2016 and 2017 for the most jive kick and flicks in 30 seconds (55) and the most Charleston swivel steps in 30 seconds (24).

This year, the number of Botofogos achieved has varied wildly, from Anton du Beke’s six to of course Graziano’s 90.

The former reigning champion, Oti Mabuse, didn’t take part in the challenge this year, but does appear in Guinness World Records 2020.
