Contortionist Oyindamola Kolawole (USA) has been putting his flexibility to good use by breaking very tricky-looking world records.

The 32-year-old has claimed the most skips with one leg behind the head in one minute with a total of 150, breaking his own record of 145.

Twisting into a position most of us would struggle with, the performer also known as Dflex, pulled one leg up and over the back of his head and hopped on one leg to skip a rope over and over again.

Just standing on one leg is surely hard enough without adding all that other stuff into the mix.

Dflex told us: “I wanted to break this record again because 150 skips was my initial target for the first try, but I couldn’t reach it so I decided I was going to give it a try again and beat my old record.

“I trained every chance I got by doing at least 50 to 60 skips to build strength and stamina. The move isn’t very  difficult to perform, at least for me. It gets easier the more you practise it.”

Flexible Oyindamola loves skipping and says it’s always been part of his cardio workout routine.

He had the speed already locked in and just had to work on perfecting his skipping technique with one leg behind his head.

“Skipping with one leg behind the head was the challenge that I needed to conquer and that’s all I kept working on to build that endurance and strength,” he said.

The performer says he’s capable of bending his body into many other unique moves.

That’s a skill that would have come in handy when Oyindamola broke the record for longest time to hold the firefly pose (yoga) with an impressive time of 8 minutes 52 seconds in 2024.

He has ideas for other fitness records too, so it’s very likely we haven’t seen the last of this talented performer.
