Most extreme weddings ever: big days that were so special they broke world records
These people took the saying “go big or go home” very seriously when they got married.
As we head into wedding season, let’s take a look at some of the most extreme weddings in history, from a bride who had over 100 bridesmaids to the couple who tied the knot deep underwater.
Most flower girls in a wedding
Charlene Pearson and Leon Watts (both Australia) recruited 253 flower girls to walk down the aisle at their wedding.

Their ceremony took place in Hita, Japan, in 2017 and the couple said they attempted their record to bring joy to Hita after it was hit by an earthquake the previous year.
Most bridesmaids to one bride
Tina Ackles (USA) is clearly a very popular lady.

She had 168 bridesmaid by her side in 2015 when she got married in Florida.
Tina was a member of the American Business Women's Association, as were all of her bridesmaids.
Oldest bride
Minnie Munro (Australia) was 102 years old when she got married in 1991.
When 102-year-old Minnie Munro married 83-year-old Dudley Reid at Point Clare, New South Wales, Australia on May 31, 1991, she became the oldest bride in history.
