As Billie Eilish teams up with legendary filmmaker James Cameron for concert movie Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D), we take a look back at her record-breaking legacy.

Aged just 24, the US singer has already made history numerous times, becoming the youngest ever star to mark many prestigious achievements.

Here’s all the records Billie currently has to her name…

It’s not really surprising, knowing what we do now about Billie, that she started making waves pretty much the second she burst on to the scene.

She became the youngest female artist to reach No.1 on the UK’s Official Albums Chart when her first studio album WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? hit the top spot when she was 17 years 114 days old.

Again before her 18th birthday, Billie became the youngest artist to be nominated in all four Grammy Award general field categories.

She was nominated for Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist at the 2020 ceremony, and went on to win them all.

Aged 18 years 1 month 8 days by the time the ceremony rolled around, she made history as the youngest solo artist to win Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards and the youngest Album of the Year winner at the Grammy Awards.

She was also the youngest Record of the Year winner at the Grammy Awards, the youngest artist to win all four Grammy Award general field categories and the first female artist to win all four Grammy Award general field categories at a single ceremony.

In the run-up to the release of her debut album, over 800,000 people pre-saved it on their phones, making it the most pre-added album on Apple Music.

She briefly lost that record to The Weeknd’s After Hours in 2020 but took it back in 2021 when 1.028 million people pre-added her album Happier than Ever.

In 2020, it was confirmed Billie would be writing and recording the theme song for 25th James Bond film No Time to Die. Aged 18, she teamed up with her brother FINNEAS to compose the song and earn the record for youngest musician to write and record a James Bond theme song.

That song was the reason Billie broke the record for youngest person to win the film music awards “triple crown”.

It won Best Original Song at the 94th Academy Awards, Best Song Written for Visual Media at the 63rd Grammy Awards and Best Original Song at the 79th Golden Globe Awards.

At 2024’s 96th Academy Awards, Billie took home the Best Original Song award again, this time for “What Was I Made For?” from the Barbie soundtrack, again co-written with her brother FINNEAS.

The gong officially made her the world’s youngest double Oscar winner.

Here’s a rundown of Billie’s other records:

  • Most consecutive Grammy nominations for Record of the Year (female) – Three, for “Bad Guy”, “Everything I Wanted” and “Happier than Ever”
  • Most Grammys won for Song of the Year – Three, for “Wildflower”, “What Was I Made For?” and “Bad Guy”
  • Youngest winner of Best International Artist of the Year at the BRIT Awards - 20 years 52 days old when she won at the 42nd BRIT Awards on 8 February 2022
  • Most consecutive Record of the Year awards won at the Grammys – Two, for “Bad Guy” and “Everything I Wanted”
  • Most consecutive Grammy nominations for Song of the Year – Three, for “Bad Guy”, “Everything I Wanted” and “Happier than Ever”
