TV audience peer through fingers as record breaker pulls balloons through nose and mouth
How many times can you put a balloon up your nose and pull it out your mouth? We bet not many of you have ever actually tried! But at Guinness World Records, we love celebrating unique talents just like this.
On 29 August 2025, Malte Dünser (Austria), broke the Guinness World Records title for most balloons passed through the nose and out the mouth in one minute. This wild record attempt took place on the set of Guinness World Records - Die große Show der Weltrekorde, in Munich, Germany, in front of an audience.
Malte managed to complete the trick 10 times, repeatedly threading the uninflated balloons through one nostril, and pulling them out through his mouth.
Malte says he practised and experimented with different objects and types of balloons before he settled on which ones would be perfect for his official attempt.

And he’s perfected his technique too, adding a light coating of oil to the balloons to ensure they slide effortlessly up his nose.

During the attempt, you can see audience members covering their faces in shock and peering through the gaps in their fingers, not wanting to look yet unable to keep their eyes off what’s happening. By the end of the video, Malte was covered in oil, but had a very big smile on his face as he was handed his official GWR certificate, pumping his fists and cheering in celebration.
Malte has built up a big online following thanks to his wild stunt videos.

Describing himself as “King of the Freaks” on Instagram, he posts clips of himself rolling around inside giant tyres, diving into shallow pools, being pulled behind a car on a beer crate, and other Jackass-style capers.
It goes without saying that you shouldn’t try any of this at home, but what we want to know is what record will he attempt next?
