Could you imagine watching a live stream for over 30 hours? Steven Kittirath (France) and Chloé Frammery (Switzerland) didn’t just watch one; they spent 34 hours talking live on camera.

On 12 January, they broke the Guinness World Records title for the longest live interview streamed over the internet, with a time of 34 hours.

The record-breaking couple had already tackled the title for the longest interview in an ice bath on 12 October 2025, when they managed to chit-chat while in teeth-chattering conditions for 21 minutes and 33 seconds.

Steven spends his time working on interviews, creating content and other projects which he shares on his YouTube channel, and Chloé is a mathematician who published her first book, La Suisse au Coeur.

The couple have been together for three and a half years and, while they describe themselves as kids at heart, they hope to have children of their own one day.

Steven told us: “We make quite a team because we are very complementary. We both love adventure, and whenever one of us suggests something, the other is always ready to go for it!

“That's also what allows us to take on challenges that can sometimes seem completely crazy.”

Steven has interviewed over 600 personalities and wanted to attempt the longest live interview streamed over the internet to pay tribute to all his interviewees.

With the official attempt scheduled for January 2025, Steven’s friend Dao was meant to help him with the attempt but had to withdraw at the last minute, so Chloé stepped in to take on the challenge.

Steven said: “Together, we conducted a 42-hour interview at Hôtel La Louisiane in Paris, France, but unfortunately GWR couldn’t validate it because, at the 30-hour mark, we took a six-minute break instead of the permitted five minutes.

“We decided to try again one year later, in January 2026, at the same hotel in Paris. This time, we chose to do a 34-hour interview, which was enough to exceed the official Guinness World Records title at the time, which stood at 33 hours.”

Staying awake for 34 hours required plenty of preparation. After experimenting to find what the best method was to keep the pair awake, they opted for canned sardines and nuts washed down with sparkling water.

During the attempt, Chloé interviewed Steven for the whole 34 hours, he told us: “I wanted to use this record as an opportunity to pay tribute to over 600 people I have interviewed across more than 700 interviews since 2016. I wanted to thank them for the trust they have placed in me throughout all these years.

“I particularly wanted to pay tribute to some well-known and lesser-known personalities whom I have had the opportunity to meet, including Barrie Osborne, producer of The Matrix and The Lord of the Rings, Errol Musk, Elon Musk's father, Roger Béteille, one of the founding figures of Airbus, Susan Rogers, sound engineer for Prince, and Vincent Paterson, choreographer for Michael Jackson and Madonna.”

During the interviews that Steven completed with these guests, Chloé acted as an interpreter for him if the guests were English-speaking.

The pair didn’t just talk about the interviews, Steven said: “We talked about my journey as a shy person, my search for self-discovery and how I managed to overcome my shyness in order to meet all these incredible personalities.

“I also talked about why I decided to seek them out and how, over the years, I managed to conduct more than 700 interviews since 2016.

“A large part of the 34-hour interview was also dedicated to my love story with Chloé, how we met, our relationship and the adventure we have been sharing since 2023.

“Those 34 hours were incredibly emotional. I went through so many emotions: joy, tears, uncertainty, moments of doubt, and even moments when I almost wanted to give up.

“Thankfully, Chloé was there to hold my hand and help me keep going.”

The couple wanted to thank Xavier Blanchot, the director of Hôtel La Louisiane, “who believed in us and generously hosted us during both of our record attempts.”

With a shared love for adventure and challenges, the pair are eager to get more Guinness World Records titles under their belt.

By supporting each other through the process, setting this title has brought them only closer.

“I think the most important thing is that the record itself is ultimately only one part of the story.

“But beyond the performance itself, there is the entire human adventure, the emotions, the difficulties, and above all, the fact that we experienced this together.”
