Snooker prodigy surely due his big break after smashing two records before third birthday
Little Jude Owens (UK) may be just two years old, but he’s already impressing the pros with his snooker skills.
He’d confidently tell you that he could beat you in a game, and the thing is, he’s very likely to be right.
The youngster first got into playing snooker and pool when his dad Luke bought him a mini table to play on.
But before long, he was balancing on stools to set records on regular-sized tables.
At 2 years 261 days old, Jude became the youngest person to make a snooker double pot.
A double pot in snooker is when two balls are legally potted with a single strike of the cue ball, into different pockets.

Then at age 2 years 302 days, Jude set the record for youngest person to make a pool bank shot.
A bank shot in pool is when the cue ball is struck to hit the object ball off one or more rails before it enters a pocket.
Luke said he knew Jude was going to be a great player the second he saw him pick up a cue.

The proud dad told us: “Jude has achieved quite a lot in such a short space of time, but to have two world records, it’s probably a pinnacle moment – how do you even beat that?
“Do I think he’ll be a world champion one day? As a father, you always hope your kids do well in life, so that would be the biggest aspiration if he was to achieve that.

“Will he be a world champion? I mean, it would be a great story with all the evidence we’ve got.”
Jude has already mastered techniques that even adults can struggle with, like floating bridge shots and potting using the rest.
He was even given a special walk-out entrance at the 2025 UK Snooker Championship and is the youngest-known person to have a snooker sponsorship.

Jude has already met some professional players, including Kyren Wilson, John Parrot and Jimmy White, who Luke says all expressed their admiration in his skills.
And the little one has the confidence to match.
When asked by his dad who would win a snooker match out of the two of them, little Jude confidently exclaimed: “Me!”

“He doesn’t beat me at snooker at the moment,” Luke said, “but I like to think he would in the next few years easily.”
Jude, who says his favourite snooker player is Ronnie O’Sullivan, only hit his first snooker ball when he was two and a half.
And considering he broke two world records before turning three, it’s clear he has a big future ahead of him.
