Logan Paul puts record-breaking Pokémon card he bought for $5.275 million up for auction
Logan Paul is putting his record-breaking Pokémon card up for sale after it soared in value.
He bought the PSA 10 Pikachu Illustrator – the highest grade a card can have – in 2022 for just under $5.3 million.

The US YouTuber bought the card from Marwan Dubsy in Dubai, trading a PSA Grade 9 Pikachu Illustrator card worth $1.275 million plus an extra $4 million, securing the record for most expensive Pokémon trading card sold at a private sale.
He said at the time: "The Pikachu Illustrator is one of the rarest and most highly coveted Pokémon cards in the world.
"Only 39 were given out to illustration contest winners in 1998, and this was a purchase for the only one in the world that has been graded a perfect 10."
Announcing the sale in an Instagram video, he showed off all of the expensive designer goods his card is now worth more than.
He said: “I spent $5.3 million on this Pikachu card because Pokémon has outperformed the stock market by 3,000% in the last 20 years, meaning this is now worth more than all of these watches, these cars, and probably this dinosaur.
“Because it is the only perfect PSA 10 Pikachu Illustrator in existence. And now, I’m letting it go.”

He added: “This grail is going up for auction on Pokémon’s 30th anniversary – the crown jewel of the highest-grossing franchise in the world.
“Someone is going to own the Guinness World Records [title] setting card that I hunted for years, and that I wore out to my Wrestlemania debut.
“It is the very best.”

Paul’s card is seriously blinged up. He has it framed in a jewel-encrusted protective case and attached to a $75,000 custom chain with Poké Ball charm so he can wear it round his neck.
Logan is selling the card, complete with chain, through Goldin Auctions.
In a video on their Instagram account, he says: “This is the rarest, most valuable Pokémon card in the entire world.”
A representative for the auction house said this will be “an auction for the history books”.

Logan has also promised to hand-deliver the card to whoever is lucky enough (and has deep enough pockets) to win the auction.
Bid on the card, and other Pokémon items on the Goldin website.
The auction closes on 15 February.
