Double Dutch skipper ropes in friends to break record for most jumps on all fours
A seasoned skipper pushed her skills to the limit in a world record challenge.
Lisa Rygaard Frost Kristensen (Denmark) roped in some help from her friends Christine Møller Jensen and Jannicke Birk Christensen (both Denmark) to break the record for most double Dutch-style skips on all fours in one minute (female) with a total of 58.
The 42-year-old has been jumping rope for over 30 years and has a vast collection of medals from national, European and world championships she’s competed in over the years.
Now, she’s proud to say she’s a world record holder.
“I wanted to try and see if I could challenge myself in a new way and that’s why I chose to see if I could do a Guinness World Records attempt,” she explained.
Lisa practised with Christine and Jannicke on a weekly basis for months ahead of the official attempt, and she remains passionate about setting new goals and working hard to achieve them.

As she watched a video of her record attempt back, she said: “What worried me in particular in the beginning was that I thought it was a bit too slow.
“When it’s not as fast as I want it, I get tired easily.”
She added: "I’m starting to get a little tired in my shoulders, I can tell. And I move back so the turners will move with me, they are super good turners – I’ve been jumping with them for many years.”

The challenge certainly looked physically draining, but Lisa appeared to be on top form as she expertly leapt over the ropes every time they swung round.
Lisa pushed herself up off the floor, lifting her hands and feet up high enough to let the ropes pass underneath before catching herself.

And she kept going and going until she could jump no more.
Her proud supporters let off confetti cannons to shower her in celebration.
“I’m so happy to say today that I am a world record holder,” she said.
