Halima Cissé, mum of the most children delivered at a single birth, is glowing in these amazing pregnancy throwback pics.

She and her partner Abdelkader Arby recently celebrated the 4th birthday of their nine gorgeous record-breaking babies – the Mali nonuplets.

And they’ve been feeling a little nostalgic, taking to Instagram to share a look back on the pregnancy and birth journey.

“Unforgettable memories,” they captioned the collection of snaps for their 57,000 followers.

“Throwback, a little more than 4 years ago...

“Here are some rare images of our treasures just after they were born, in their tiny hatches, and a precious photo of their mum Halima during her exceptional pregnancy.”

They added: “A miracle of life, incredible strength, immense love. We are filled with gratitude for how far we have come and for all the support we have received since the very beginning.

“Thank you to everyone who has been with us since day 1.”

The first image is a collage showing Halima and Abdelkader wearing scrubs and holding one of their babies, the hospital staff who helped deliver the little record breakers, and a shot of each of them just after they were born.

A heavily pregnant Halima is seen lying on a hospital bed in another  snap, killing some time by scrolling on her phone.

One shows the couple posing by an incubator with one of their babies inside, and they also shared a picture of them in the Guinness World Records book and a shot of their certificate.

Halima was originally told that she was pregnant with seven babies.

The other two weren’t discovered until after the Malian government flew her and Abdelkader out to Morocco for care at a specialist clinic.

It was on 4 May 2021 that she welcomed brothers Mohammed VI, Elhadji, Oumar and Bah and sisters Kadidia, Fatouma, Hawa, Adama and Oumou.

They were born prematurely via C-section at a gestational age of 30 weeks. A ‘normal’ pregnancy lasts around 40 weeks.

They all weighed between 0.5 – 1 kg (1.1 - 2.2 lb).

The children are the first known incidence of nonuplets surviving birth, earning them the record for most children delivered at a single birth to survive.

Halima and Abdelkader already had a daughter named Arby, who is six.
