If your dog won’t even come back when you call them, you might want to look away now.

Leonard Lee is no ordinary pooch, he’s a horse-riding, masterpiece-painting, book-balancing, basketball-slam-dunking legend.

The six-year-old border collie, who lives in Virgina, USA, with his loving owner and trainer Teresa Hanula, has a long list of skills on his CV.

And now, the dexterous doggo can add record breaking to his collection of accolades.

Leonard claimed the record for most basketball slam dunks in one minute by a dog with a total of 22 in December 2023.

And followed that up the following December with the greatest distance by a dog balancing a book on the head in one minute – 17.30 m (56 ft 9 in).

Teresa, 48, who works as a dog trainer, said: “Leonard loves balls and loves fetching. Teaching him the slam-dunking of a basketball was self-rewarding for him.

“We started off wanting one record - that was great - and now that we have two it feels even better.

“Who knows what the future will hold for him.”

She added of his skillset: “Leonard is an amphibious dog - loves to swim. He’s also a canine artist and takes part in several auctions raising money for less fortunate dogs.

“He loves and has fun practising canine parkour in the park and in urban areas as well, and he loves learning any type of tricks to keep his mind busy.”

Leonard's artwork has gone international, once being exhibited at Southwark Park Galleries in London, UK.

Leonard is no stranger to the bright lights of showbiz, having appeared on TV numerous times. You may have seen him on America's Got Talent or The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, or even starring in commercials for various pet brands.

He even comes from a famous family as his grandfather, Shiloh, starred in movie The Stray.

At home, away from the flashes of pup-arazzi cameras, Leonard is just the sweetest boy.

Teresa explained: “Ever since the day we met, Leonard and I have had a very close relationship and it continues to grow every day.

“He can be really feisty and very opinionated, but he also has a very sensitive side. He just knows what you’re feeling and if you’re not feeling well he’ll be there laying right by your side.”

Who’s a good boy? Leonard is.
