2025 has been a big year for collections.

From massive franchises to the more obscure items, people around the world counted up their collections to make sure they were officially the biggest.

Here’s a look back at some of the records secured by collectors this year…

Largest collection of bricks

In February, we met Clem Reinkemeyer (USA), whose barn in Tulsa, Oklahoma, houses a very unique collection.

The 87-year-old has collected 8,882 different bricks over the last 40 years, each one telling its own story.

He said: “Collecting anything, it kind of gets away from you.

“What appealed to me about bricks is, they have names and you can trace them back historically to places, and that always intrigued me.”

“It’s unusual,” he laughed. “But I like it.”

Largest collection of Minions memorabilia

In April, Liesl Benecke (Australia) found out she had more Minions memorabilia than anyone else in the world.

She loves the little yellow creatures from Despicable Me so much that she’s gathered 1,035 of them over the last 15 years.

She even has a tattoo of one and has become affectionately known as ‘the Minion lady’.

Liesl told us: “My daughter says I need another house just to store my Minions, but I love being surrounded by their beautiful, bright yellow smiles. They are in every room and on every spare wall.”

Largest collection of egg cups

In July, we found out that María José Fuster (Spain) had been collecting egg cups for over 50 years.

By the time she counted them all up to officially apply for the world record, she had 15,485 of them in her possession.

María has categorized all of her egg cups in an online blog, listing each of the individual designs she owns.

Largest collection of Crocs shoes

In September, we met “Croc King” Doogie Sandtiger (USA), who had dreamed of breaking a world record since he was a kid.

With over 3,500 pairs of Crocs in his collection, he officially ticked that item off his bucket list.

Doogie grew up in foster care and amidst the constant moves from family to family, he never learned how to tie his laces.

As something he felt self-conscious about as he grew into early adulthood, Doogie found himself drawn to slip-on Crocs.

And he loved them so much, he set out to get his hands on as many pairs as possible.

“I didn't really know anything about them other than that everyone thought they were ugly, but I saw art in them,” he said to NBC. “So, I went and got my first pair that day. It was just a pair of plain black Crocs.”

Largest collection of Polly Pocket items

In October, YouTuber Kerchie (USA) shared her incredible Polly Pocket collection with us.

She found a love for the toys during her childhood, spending countless hours off in a miniature fantasy world.

As an adult, she reignited that love by gathering the biggest collection of them – 534 different ones that she found by scouring the internet.
