Youngest opera singer Victory Brinker's career so far: from debut at seven to AGT history

Record breaker at seven, TV star at nine – life has been a whirlwind for the world’s youngest opera singer Victory Brinker (USA), and she’s still just a teenager.
Featured within the pages of Guinness World Records 2026, Victory is clearly one of those people destined to be a star.
She earned her record title at the age of 7 years 314 days after she performed her first professional role in Pittsburgh Public Theater’s Lights and Legends in December 2019… although she didn't know that at the time.
It was years later when we invited her to perform on our Italian show Lo Show dei Record that she was surprised with the backdated record.
By that point, she’d already made quite the name for herself.
Victory was just nine years old when she auditioned for season 16 of TV show America’s Got Talent in 2021.
Introducing herself to judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara and Heidi Klum, she instantly won over the audience with her cheeky charm.
She even joked that if she won the million dollars the first thing she’d do was “buy Simon a rainbow shirt that has glitter on it”.
“You need some colour,” she sassily told him.
Although she was a little nervous, Victory left the judges gobsmacked from the very first note she sung.
Her rendition of "Juliet's Waltz" aka "Ah, Je Veux Vivre" from the opera Roméo et Juliette had everyone stunned.
After Victory’s performance, Simon summoned the show’s host Terry Crews over so he could ask a question.
Victory looked understandably awkward as she stood on the stage watching the judges and Terry talk.
Simon led everyone astray by telling Victory: “We’re not going to give you a yes today.”
The audience booed, but Simon continued: “We’re going to do something we’ve never ever done on the show before. We are all going to give you something special.”
Counting down from five, they all pushed the golden buzzer together, sending Victory straight through to the live shows.
It was the first time the judges had all pressed the golden buzzer together, and Victory is still AGT’s youngest ever golden buzzer act.
She made it all the way to the live final.
Victory reflected on her time in the reality competition earlier this year, sharing a clip on her Instagram account.
She wrote: “It’s been 4 YEARS since this life changing moment! I am so thankful for every blessing, every lesson, and everyone I’ve met along the way!
“Thanks to all who continue to love, support and encourage me! Love you all!”
At age 10, Victory was featured on news station ABC4 to celebrate Black History Month.
She looked back on her TV stint, spoke about performing all over the US, as well as in France and Italy, and singing in front of 67,000 people at a Pittsburgh Steelers game.
Her mom Christine also shared how Victory was surprised with her Guinness World Records certificate on Lo Show dei Record.
She said: “She sang on the show not knowing that she was going there to receive a world record – she had no idea, we kept it as a surprise.”
Now 13, she’s still younger than the girl she took the record from - Ginetta Gloria La Bianca (USA), who was 15 years 316 days old when she sang the part of Gilda in Rigoletto at Velletri, Italy, on 24 March 1950.
Victory can sing over three octaves and in eight different languages.
She’s continuing to perform all over the world and is sharing her journey on Instagram, where she has over 127,000 followers.
In a recent video, Victory worked on perfecting her Mariah Carey-esque whistle notes, reaching a pitch that has the potential to smash glasses.
She’s just started the eighth grade and recently teased her followers that she was “filming something so cool”.
In February, a grown-up looking Victory appeared on daily talk show Tamron Hall, where the host chatted to her about her career so far.
Victory said: “I started singing when I was two, but when I was six I asked my mom if she could show me the person who could sing the highest note and she showed me an opera singer and I loved it ever since.
“Then I started to do lessons.”
When asked by Tamron what she was going to next, Victory said: “I just want to sing all over the world and share my gift because I just love music and I know other people love it and I want to make people happy.”
