Now, this is a Halloween costume that takes a LOT of dedication.

Makeup artist Holly Murray (UK) covered her entire body – quite literally head-to-toe – with 74,880 rhinestones to claim the record for most rhinestones on the body.

She spent an unbelievable 15 hours applying them with the help of her team, Michele Salgaro Vaccaro, Francesca Galafassi, Camilla Cavenaghi, Alessia Spadoni, Teresa Basili (all Italy), and Charlotte Crook (UK), ahead of her appearance on our Italian TV show Lo Show dei Record earlier this year.

Behind-the-scenes footage shows Holly standing surrounded by her team and gluing rhinestones on to her own stomach as the others decorate the rest of her.

Holly even wore a bald cap so that her head could be completely covered too.

And it was totally worth all those painstaking hours.

She looked absolutely sensational as she stepped out on to the TV stage, glistening in the spotlight.

Holly joked her team had been “living off coffee and chocolate” to stay awake long enough to complete her transformation.

And she admitted she was looking forward to showering to get all the diamonds off her skin so she could climb into bed.

Holly completely smashed the previous record, more than doubling the 33,139 rhinestones used when Federica Ceracchi (Italy) stepped out on the same TV stage to claim the record in 2010.

Self-taught artist Holly, who has amassed more than 2 million followers online,  regularly shows off her incredible makeover skills, and lately, has been doing lots of terrifying Halloween looks, including a terrifying Pikachu-inspired monster.
