Aussie strongwoman smashes record by lifting Atlas stone heavier than a panda
Aussie strongwoman Nicole Genrich could probably lift you above her head without breaking a sweat.
The Australia’s Strongest Woman winner claimed the title for heaviest Atlas stone lifted (female) with an impressive total weight of 180 kg (396.83 lb).
That’s even heavier than the average reindeer (166 kg) and panda bear (150 kg) – can you imagine hoisting one of those up to sit them on your shoulder?
Nicole, who features in the pages of Guinness World Records 2026 and also features on the Australian version of TV show Gladiators, performed her record-breaking feat at the Log Deadlift Stone Championships in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, in May 2024.
To qualify for the record, she had to lift the stone from the floor on to a platform at chest height.

Celebrating in an Instagram post, she wrote: “I remember growing up reading the book and being completely amazed by the incredible humans and the cool things they could do.
“Now I’m one of them with my 180 kg atlas stone world record!
“It really is the icing on the cake for what was an incredible strongwoman career!!”

“You should be very proud of this! Congrats,” the official account for Australia’s ‘strongest’ contests commented.
Nicole, who was named the world’s third strongest woman in 2023, regularly shares updates from her fitness career, as well as he home life, with her thousands of followers online.
She trains others now too, getting them ready for competition.
