Fitness influencer smashes pull-ups record to prove "strength doesn't depend on gender"

A fitness influencer with an unbreakable spirit smashed a pull-ups record after training day-in-day-out.
Xie Ting (China) claimed the record for most pull-ups in one minute (female) with an impressive 44.
Xie Ting, 22, was born in Jiangxi, and later moved to Guangdong. By day, she's a social media content creator sharing her fitness journey and lifestyle. With over 400,000 followers, she's become a beloved figure, known for her authenticity and determination.
At first, Xie Ting never planned to break a Guinness World Records title. She was simply documenting her fitness journey, sharing the ups and downs with her audience. But as she continued her training and saw progress, she realized she might just be capable of aiming higher. That's when the thought of going for the world record crept into her mind.
Her target was 39 pull-ups in one minute, a record set by American athlete Inga Simning in 2022. At the time, Xie Ting hadn't specifically trained for pull-ups; her strength came from her regular fitness routine. She knew it would be a challenge, but also the perfect opportunity to show off the results of her consistent training.
After officially applying for the record, Xie Ting revamped her training regimen. She upped the frequency of her pull-up workouts and began fine-tuning her technique, making sure every rep was flawless.
The attempt was set on a winter day in Beijing. The cold was brutal, and warming up felt like an uphill battle. The outdoor barbell might as well have been an ice block.
But with months of training under her belt, Xie Ting wasn't about to let a little thing like discomfort hold her back.
Once everything was set, she focused, adjusted her breathing, and dove into the challenge. Her movements were quick and precise, and you could see the concentration on her face every time she pulled herself up, as if each rep was a personal victory against her own limits.
In the end, she completed 44 perfect pull-ups in one minute, breaking the record.
“I've never thought there's any difference between men and women in sports. Strength doesn't depend on gender,” Xie Ting said firmly. She doesn't care much about gender differences; what matters to her is the attitude one brings to a challenge.
For Xie Ting, gender doesn't limit athletic performance or achievements, but it can serve as a powerful motivator. She doesn't see herself as a “female athlete”; rather, she views each challenge as an opportunity for self-improvement.
Despite her outstanding record, Xie Ting isn't fully satisfied. “Even though I broke the record, I feel there's still room for improvement. Next time, I'll go for an even higher score,” she said.
In addition to her new Guinness World Records certificate, Xie Ting has recently earned her fitness coach certification, ready to delve even deeper into the fitness world.
Her next goal? To continue smashing her own records and perhaps even go for the title of the most pull-ups in one hour.
As she said, “Exercise is not just about improving physical fitness; it's about strengthening our inner selves.”
Through her actions, Xie Ting is showing the true meaning of female strength, and her story will undoubtedly continue to inspire more women to boldly challenge themselves, break their own limits, and reach for an even brighter future.
