MrBeast is back: How to watch Beast Games and how Guinness World Records is involved

YouTube legend and Guinness World Records ICON MrBeast is back with his biggest project to date – the Beast Games.
Known for his ridiculous challenges and lucrative giveaways, Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson is no stranger to record-breaking. With over 500 million followers across his social media platforms, he’s the most followed creator in the world, and he attracted over nine billion views on his YouTube videos last year.
But his upcoming collaboration with Amazon Prime promises to be his largest-scale production yet. He claims it's the “largest game show in history”, where over 1,000 contestants compete for a $5 million prize – the largest ever to be awarded on TV.
“My goal is to make the greatest show possible and prove YouTubers and creators can succeed on other platforms,” said MrBeast to Amazon. “I hope to make the YouTube community proud.”
Although we don’t want to spoil any details about the challenges, we can confirm that the show has earned a string of Guinness World Records titles throughout production.
But until then, here’s everything you need to know about the show and where to watch it.
Connection to Guinness World Records
MrBeast and Guinness World Records go way back, as he was named the titleholder for most subscribers for an individual male on YouTube in 2022, when he dethroned PewdiePie for the first time in 10 years.
Since then, his videos have become more and more of a spectacle, such as his 2023 record title for most viewed challenge YouTube video in 24 hours, which pitted 50 popular YouTubers against each other in a fight for $1,000,000. The video got 80,995,076 views in 24 hours, which is a number roughly the size of the population of Germany.
Although he started making videos in 2012, he didn’t go viral until 2017, when his video “counting to 100,000” started a series of increasingly crazy challenges.
He currently has 337 million subscribers, the most of any YouTube channel, and has recently made videos such as: “$456,000 Squid Game in Real Life!” (yes, it’s exactly as it sounds), “I built Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory!”, “Beat Ronaldo, win $1,000,000” (the literal Ronaldo), and “How Much Tape to Stop a Lamborghini?” where he drove a sports car into $100,000 worth of duct tape until it eventually was destroyed. For a 12 second video.
So, when an ICON that size collaborates with the force of Amazon, we aren’t surprised that the production becomes otherworldly.
“Because of the scale of the production, Guinness World Records had a team in attendance to document the many records achieved day after day during filming,” said Karen Gilchrist, VP of TV and Digital at Guinness World Records. We will also feature in some BTS footage once the show is released.
And MrBeast has kept his fans updated on X (formerly Twitter) about all his new titles acquired during filming.
