A cancer survivor who also lost a family member to the disease is fighting to raise awareness by breaking world records.

Ramy Naouss (Lebanon) took on the ultimate test of endurance when he smashed the record for longest duration standing on a Sadhu nail board (male) with a whopping 12 hr 12 min 8 sec stint!

His feat was 60 times longer than the first-ever human space walk, and felt just as out of this world for Ramy, who did it all to help others who find themselves being delivered the life-changing news.

Ramy, who has previously walked 42 km (26.09 mi) barefoot from the Dbayeh Corniche to the Batroun area in Lebanon, hopes to raise awareness of early cancer detection and save more lives from the clutches of the disease.

According to Ramy, these challenges are mainly mental and he relies on his inner strength to complete them. He stresses that psychological support is essential for achieving tough goals, and the support of family and friends during these challenges can make all the difference.

"Our mental strength is the key to unlocking our potential and achieving the impossible. A record-breaking experience demonstrates that anything is possible when we have the determination and willpower to push ourselves beyond our limits."

Ramy believes that people tend to take things for granted until they lose them, and he urges everyone to appreciate life and take care of their health. He hopes his record-breaking achievement will inspire others to take action and make a difference in the fight against cancer, and be aware of the essential early screening.

“Death is not losing life, but losing hope,” said Ramy. “This record-breaking achievement is just the beginning of my journey, and I will have many others with Guinness World Records - my platform to amplify my voice to the world.”

Ramy’s remarkable achievement serves as a powerful reminder of the fragility and preciousness of life. He wants everyone to realize it takes just one moment to change everything, and we must take responsibility for our health and wellbeing to ensure that we make the most of every moment we are given.

Ramy, an adventurous and fearless soul, is gearing up to take on a new challenge. He is planning to attempt the fastest half marathon barefoot on ice/snow, with the goal of breaking down the barriers of fear that hold him back. Despite the inherent dangers of such an endeavor. His commitment to this challenge is driven by a deep desire to overcome his fear of death, and to prove to himself that he is capable of achieving anything he sets his mind to.
