Lo Show dei Record is back!

Guinness World Records’ shiny Italian TV show is returning to screens this weekend for series nine.

We’re bringing you 10 action-packed episodes with talented kids, strongmen and women, circus performers, adorable animals, impressive athletes and uniquely wonderful people.

You’ll also see some epic head-to-head encounters and spectacular performances, with the show presided over by renowned Italian TV presenter Gerry Scotti.

The show kicks off on Sunday 19 February at 9.20 pm on Canale 5, but fans around the world need not worry, as we’ll also be covering all the highlights right here and across our social channels.

As well as seeing new records being set, Lo Show dei Record will also welcome some of Guinness World Records’ most famous record breakers into the studio.

Among them will be Jyoti Amge (India), the shortest woman living, who stands at 62.8 cm (24.7 in).

Jyoti, 29, is also recognised as the shortest actress thanks to her starring role as Ma Petite in American Horror Story: Freak Show.

Record holder KV Saidalavi (India) will also be in the studio.

He holds multiple record titles, including most pineapple on heads cut in half in 30 seconds and most pencils snapped with a karate chop in one minute.

Amazing escapologist Andrew Basso (USA) is also set to appear on the show this series.

He’ll be seen attempting to break the record for fastest time to escape a water tank upside down with cuffed hands and feet.

Andrew will be handcuffed at both the wrists and ankles with official police handcuffs and submerged head first into a water tank.

He’s allowed to use weights to help him achieve the feat, but no breathing apparatus.

The time won’t stop until Andrew unlocks both sets of handcuffs and pops his head up above the water.

And of course, no Guinness World Records show is complete without some of our famous adjudicators on hand to dish out those sought-after certificates.

Our Senior Vice President Marco Frigatti is back in his adjudicator uniform for the show, working alongside colleague Lorenzo Veltri to declare people Officially Amazing.

Lo Show dei Record returned for six episodes last year following an eight-year absence.

And with 10 episodes coming up this time around, you won’t want to miss a moment!

Lo Show dei Record starts at 9.20pm on Sunday 19 February on Canale 5
