It's become the most sought after video since the release of the Grand Theft Auto V trailer 12 years ago.
Now, it's here and it's already breaking records.
GTA VI's first trailer has become the most viewed videogame reveal on YouTube in 24 hours with 90,421,491 views.
The hotly anticipated sequel will feature main protagonist Lucia alongside male lead Jason as they go about their lives in the re-imagined land of Vice City.
Our first look at revamped Vice City has also become the most liked videogame trailer on YouTube with 8.9 million likes in the first 24 hours alone.
Outside the videogame bubble, it's also become most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours (non-music), surpassing the seemingly untouchable Mr. Beast.
Mr. Beast's Every Country On Earth Fights For $250,000 was uploaded in August 2023 and reached 59.4 million views in 24 hours.
He holds other records for being the most subscribed to individual on the platform as well as becoming the first person to reach 1 million followers on Threads.
As for Rockstar's last instalment from the famous franchise, that has a long list of records set in the 10 years it has been available to play.
“Grand Theft Auto VI continues our efforts to push the limits of what’s possible in highly immersive, story-driven open-world experiences,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “We’re thrilled to be able to share this new vision with players everywhere.”
And players everywhere will be just as thrilled, including 90-year-old Hamako Mori, the oldest videogames YouTuber (female) who loved GTA V!
