Michael Pick, a YouTuber based in Huntsville, Alabama, U.S., has achieved a record title which has proved to be a total game changer.

On 9 December 2021, the content creator, who is also known for making a huge Nerf gun, was recognized for building the largest Xbox console

The massive Xbox Series X stands at 2.08 m x 1.04 m x 1.04 m (6.82 ft x 3.41 ft x 3.41 ft) and weighs 250 pounds – roughly the size of a standard refrigerator.

Michael created a video documenting the process behind engineering the colossal console.

Starting with a wooden exterior, he built supersized replicas of the Xbox’s elements including the back connection ports and other identifying features.

According to Michael, the most difficult part of reproducing the giant gaming system was designing the curves atop the Xbox Series X and recreating its glowing logo.

He had to figure out a way to making it glow consistently, while also allowing it to work as a push button.

Although it took a bit of brainstorming, Michael finally came up with a solution.

By 3D printing some sections, he was able to glue them together and create a scaled version of the popular gaming system.

Although the giant Xbox does not completely operate on its own, Michael did adapt it so it would be functional.

By enclosing a comparatively small, regular Xbox Series X in its jumbo counterpart, a signal is sent at the click of a button to an Arduino microcontroller, which cues a motor to press the button on the original, regular-sized console.

The installment creates the illusion that the larger Xbox console is operating videogames.

Michael says everything for this attempt functioned according to his plans and admitted that it was much easier than his previous record, the largest Nerf gun, which was a much more complicated attempt.

Michael is always looking for new engineering challenges and said this most recent project was a really fun build.

The entire Xbox creation process took about two days to plan and a month to construct.

Despite the time he has invested, Michael plans to donate the super-sized, super fun Xbox to a local children’s hospital, making it worth all of the effort.

He also said that being recognized for a second record title means a lot to him.

"I’ve worked really hard making this build as accurate as possible and having a Guinness World Records title is a really cool way to end this project." – Michael Pick
