For Nickelodeon Brazil, breaking a Guinness World Records title is not new.

Taking place this year is the sixth edition of the event "Dia de brincar" (Day to play), created by Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. The wonderful celebration took place with a free event on 8 October 2022, in Cândido Portinari Park in São Paulo, Brazil.

A day of fun was held outside for children and families in the company of some of the channel's most popular characters, including SpongeBob and Patrick, the Ninja Turtles, the Paw Patrol gang and Blue from Blue’s Clues

The purpose of the event was to create a fun environment by offering a wide range of activities and recreational games that encourage friendships and interaction among families.

During the event Nickelodeon Brazil encouraged children to break the record for most signatures on a banner in an hour. After a few hours, they managed to break the record with 708 signatures.

The previous record holder was Signarama of the United States, who had broken the record on 21 June 2021, with a total of 689 signatures.

With the public’s joy and excitement, the event became one of the most memorable and fun moments in Nickelodeon Brazil’s history.

Nickelodeon has been breaking records year after year. The most recent record was achieved in 2021, when My Nick Awards achieved the most public votes received for a kids' awards show, with a staggering total of 513,183,993 votes, on 28th September. This record-breaking title was highlighted in Guinness World Records 2023

To honor Nickelodeon Brazil, official Guinness World Records adjudicator Camila Borenstain presented the record holder certificate to the person responsible for the event, Andrés Perdiguero, Senior Marketing Director of Nickelodeon Latin America.
