But arguably one of the best parts of the Super Bowl each year are the entertaining commercials that give brands and businesses a chance to stand out on the big screen - and sometimes, those moments are record worthy.

On game day, crispy buffalo chicken wings, pizza pies, and 7-Layer dip line the dining tables of football fans’ homes.

That’s why leading up to the big game last year, an exciting idea was being cooked up to bring one of these fan-favorites to the next level in Chicago, Illinois. With the help of Guinness World Records, BUSH’S® Beans conceptualized a new way to showcase their products to sports fans with a mammoth 70-Layer dip, which led them to creating the world’s largest layered dip.

This rethinking of a popular classic was a “real twist on the traditional dip and does something fun for our fans while also showcasing the versatility of BUSH’S Beans,” Kate Rafferty, Consumer Experience Manager at BUSH’s explained.

BUSH’S® Beans reached out to Guinness World Records to see if they could set out on a mission to create the world’s largest layered dip

Weighing in at a whopping 493 kg (1,087 lb), BUSH’S® Beans achieved the record-title. The whole dip comprised of flavors that builds on the classic 7-layer dip; Veggie, Cuban, Caprese, Loaded Baked Potato, Buffalo Chicken, Mediterranean, Fiesta, Spicy and Barbecue. Each layer represented a diverse BUSH’S Beans product. The colossal-layered bean dip was served in a container shaped to resemble a can of BUSH’S Beans, which measured 1.42 m (4 ft 8 in) tall by 0.83 m (2 ft 9 in) in diameter.

After the record was set, the dip was deconstructed by each ingredient layer and donated to Pacific Garden Mission, an organization in Chicago, Illinois, USA that provides hot meals for Chicago's homeless men, women and children.
