David Guetta’s new single “Let’s Love” featuring Sia has dropped today, but that’s not the only achievement he’s celebrating.
In a surprise virtual certificate presentation with official Guinness World Records adjudicator Brittany Dunn, David Guetta was honoured for breaking the titles for most viewers for a DJ set live stream on Facebook and most liked DJ on Facebook.
Earlier this year, the internationally renowned DJ raised over $1.5 million for Covid-19 relief with his ‘United At Home’ charity live stream events in Miami in April and New York City in May,which tallied over 50 million collective viewers.
The stream received 161,823 engaged fans at its peak leading him to earn the title for viewers on Facebook.
His avid fans on Facebook also helped him earn 50,460,923 likes and another record.
However, the success of the chart-topping artist doesn’t stop there.
He has also held the record for having the most followers on Twitter for a DJ since 2019 with a total of 21,368,464 followers.
David’s success has been forefront since the beginning of his career in 2009, where his album One Love included fan favorites such as, "When Love Takes Over,” "Gettin' Over You,” and "Memories.”
Born and raised in Paris, France, he has become one of the most recognized DJs and songwriters in the world and has sold over nine million items and 30 million singles across the globe.
His collaborations with other artists in the music industry have always been smash hits, including "Titanium”, which was his first single with the Australian singer/songwriter, Sia.
Through his music and new single with Sia, he plans to continue uniting people across the globe.
“During this time of isolation, I’ve been incredibly inspired to release music that has an uplifting energy,” said David Guetta.
“I love producing club tracks but at the same time, especially now, I feel like creating ‘feel-good’ music. ‘Let's Love’ is a message of love, hope and bringing people together and once again, Sia has out done herself on the vocals.”
