The past year in music has been quite a successful one, with hits from breakout stars like Lil Nas X topping the charts, and recurring favorites like Ariana Grande and the Jonas Brothers recording brand new albums.

A few popular nominees are on track to make music history on stage at the Staples Center this year. So ahead of the 62nd annual Grammy Awards coming up this Sunday, we’re putting a spotlight on the celebs to we’re anticipating will break Guinness World Records titles.

Lizzo - Most Grammy Awards won in a single year by a female artist

Lizzo is nominated for a grand total of eight Grammy Awards this year, in categories that honor her hit “Truth Hurts” and well known album “Cuz I Love You”. If Lizzo manages to win just six of the eight she is up for, she will have tied music legends Beyoncé and Adele for most Grammy Awards won in a single year by a female artist – which is a feat for any new performer. By winning seven or eight, she will potentially take the title from both of these accomplished stars, which seems like an excellent way to kick off 2020.

Billie Eilish – Youngest solo artist to win Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards

Billie Eilish might be more of a well-known artist among Gen Z, and anyone who loves her goth-pop vibe, but she will become an official Guinness World Records title holder if she wins her nod for Album of the Year. Being just 18 years old, by winning this title she will have broken Taylor Swift’s who currently holds the record at the age of 20.

Lizzo - Most Grammy Awards won in a single year by an individual

There’s no doubt that Lizzo will be glammed out this weekend for the 2020 Grammy’s, but should Lizzo win for all eight categories she is nominated for, she will have two records to also celebrate. It’s tough for any artist to dominate every single nod they’ve been given, but should she manage to achieve this feat, she will have not only broken the record for most Grammy Awards won in a single year by a female artist but also have tied for the most Grammy Awards won in a single year by an individual (overall) with Michael Jackson.

Billie Eilish – Youngest artist to win all four Grammy Award general field categories

Billie already draws her fanbase’s attention with her chic neon aesthetic, but she’s now stirring buzz for potentially becoming the world’s youngest artist to win all four Grammy Award general field categories. This means that if Billie wins for her nods in best new artist, record, album and song of the year fields, she will have been the youngest to ever do so.
