LAS VEGAS, NV – November 25, 2019: Christmas came early for music legend, Mariah Carey, as she continues to sing her way into history with three Guinness World Records titles.
Presented in the pages of the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS 2020 EDITION, Carey was recently honored for her record title for the Highest-charting holiday (Christmas/New Year) song on the Billboard US Hot 100 by a solo artist, with her chart-topping hit, “All I Want for Christmas is You.”
The record-breaking singer/songwriter was presented with her record title certificate and a copy of the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS 2020 EDITION on-stage by official adjudicator, Michael Empric, during her holiday extravaganza, “All I Want for Christmas is You” on Saturday at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Carey’s record-breaking single continues to set the bar for other holiday hits also earning the Most streamed track on Spotify in 24 hours (female) (10,819,009 streams in December 2018) and Most weeks in the UK singles Top 10 chart for a Christmas song (20) titles.
The popular holiday anthem continues to resonate with audiences across the globe as it rises to the top of the charts every year since its debut exactly 25 years ago. The song, written and performed by Carey, served as the lead single for her fourth studio album, 1995’s Merry Christmas. which was re-released this past month with a special holiday deluxe edition of the now iconic album.

In February 2020, Carey returns to The Colosseum for “The Butterfly Returns,” which spotlights a more intimate performance on The Colosseum’s stage, showcasing Mariah’s world-famous vocals and extensive catalogue of music, including fan favorites such as “Honey,” “Make It Happen,” “Fantasy, “Vision of Love,” “Emotions,” “We Belong Together” and many more.
