Thousands of PR, marketing and advertising professionals have descended onto the French Riviera this week to take part in the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity.

Guinness World Records is based on the Cabana in the House of PR, where live record-breaking taking place every day.

Yesterday (Tuesday 19 June), Rosie Baldwin successfully broke the record for the Fastest time to type the alphabet on a touchscreen mobile phone.

She’d spent two days practicing with a Guinness World Records coach, managed to make it to the top of the leader board and at the end of the day she got the chance to have an official attempt with our onsite adjudicator.

When challenging this title, predictive text must be turned off and there can be no spaces or errors in the alphabet.

Rosie was worried her dyslexia would stop her from winning the record, but she managed an incredible time of 7.44 seconds – a nail-biting 0.16 seconds faster than she needed to secure the title!

“I knew I’d get it eventually!” she said, when she was presented with her certificate in front of a cheering crowd.

However, the Guinness World Records Live! team will be at Cannes Lions until Friday – which means that someone else could beat her record and take the title!
