As part of their ongoing Chronicles of a Record Breaker series, sports entertainment network Whistle Sports has revisited one of the most impressive freestyle motocross records ever broken.

At the 2016 Nitro World Games in Salt Lake City, Utah, American daredevil Gregg Duffy managed to complete the First double front flip on a motorcycle, earning both a Guinness World Records title and the FMX best trick award, with a score of 96.60.

A member of action sports entertainment company Nitro Circus, Gregg has been dubbed a "front flip hero" since his death-defying achievement.

"You’ve got to have a little bit of crazy in you to hit this stuff," Gregg Duffy.

Prior to Gregg’s attempt, the only other two people who had gone for the double front flip had crashed out.

The trick is incredibly dangerous as it requires the rider to rotate their bike 720 degrees in mid-air, in a forward motion – a skill which much more challenging than flipping backwards, due to the upward slope of the ramp.

Members of Nitro Circus have also taken part in the Most motorcycles performing a backflip simultaneously, with 16 riders launching themselves at the same time, during a show in 2013.
