Hugely popular mobile puzzle game app Candy Crush is now the inspiration for a new live-action TV show, and a new world record.

Also called Candy Crush, the new U.S. game show, which will air July 9th, has achieved the record for the world’s Largest touch-screen display.

The title was given to the two enormous, interactive game boards that will be used by contestants who will play to match colourful candies of three or more to win points.

Measuring 20 feet, 4 and 11/16 inches wide by 25 feet, 9 and 1/16 inches tall, the screens include 55, 55-inch monitors, each with 32 cameras recording the competitors’ hand swipes.

Because of the screens’ record-breaking size, a classic game of Candy Crush will now be equally physical as it is a mental test – making for a challenging, but exciting broadcast.

Adjudicator Kimberly Partrick presented celebrity host Mario Lopez with the official Guinness World Records certificate in front of the massive screens.

Want to see this sweet new record title in action? Tune into the premiere on CBS Network at 9:00 – 10:00 PM, ET/PT.
