J Balvin entered NYC a New York Men’s Fashion Week ambassador and left a Guinness World Records title holder.
 
The singer has been honored with a Guinness World Records title for Longest stay at No.1 on the US Hot Latin Songs chart by a single artist.
 
His hit song 'Ginza' graced the top of the US Hot Latin Songs chart list for an impressive 22 weeks. The single, released in 2015 as part of his fourth album 'Energía’ reached the top of the charts on October 11, 2015 where it stayed until March 12, 2016.
 
Ginza is one of Balvin’s six #1 Latin singles and the hit that made him the undeniable leader of a second-generation reggaeton revolution propelling Urban music back to the forefront of Latin music worldwide.
 
The Colombian-born singer has gone on to collaborate with artists ranging from Ariana Grande, Major Lazer and Justin Bieber, to his own recent chart-topping track 'Safari' with Pharrell Williams. 
 
J Balvin was on site at Guinness World Records US headquarters in New York City to receive this recognition. On his accomplishment, Balvin said: “I have imagined many things for my life, but never would I have thought to have a Guinness World Records title for my music career. I am very excited, very grateful and I hope this is the first of many”.

Guinness World Records adjudicator Sarah Casson bestowed the honor upon J. Balvin and mentioned that “Guinness World Records is pleased to recognize J Balvin's impressive accomplishment. We have a feeling this won't be the last time his music will break records."
