
In anticipation of the release of the new game Super Lucky’s Tale, Xbox decided to go for an uplifting Guinness World Records title that would help elevate the announcement to the next level.
Creating a custom Super Lucky’s Tale hot air balloon that took flight during the recent Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta in New Mexico, USA, fans of the game from all over the world were able to see the live attempt for Highest-altitude videogame stream.
The feed debuted on the Mixer Xbox Channel from and incredible 365 m (1,200 ft) in the air.
The livestream was hosted by Rukari Austin, Community Manager at Microsoft Studios, and took place in a custom-wrapped balloon was with a built-in platform that housed the Xbox One X and a screen which was powered by a generator while up in the air.
Super Lucky’s Tale joins the elite group of gamers and developers currently holding Guinness World Records titles for their tremendous achievements, some of which are featured in Guinness World Records' Gamer’s Edition 2018, a book that recognizes the records obtained by gamers and developers across the globe.
