On 14 April 1990, a French couple became man and wife at Seyssinet-Pariset, France and were recognised as Guinness World Records title holders in the process for having the Greatest height differential in a married couple.

Fabien Pretou (France) (b. 15 June 1968) stands at 188.5 cm (6 ft 2 in) tall and his wife Natalie Lucius (France) (b. 19 January 1966) measures just 94 cm (3 ft 1 in) - a huge height difference of 94.5 cm (37 in).

The couple's home is all adapted for Natalie’s diminutive stature. If Fabien wants to cook dinner, he has to sit down to be at the right height for the hob.

However, the happy pair are able to live an ordinary life and they even have a child together.

At 251 cm (8 ft 3 in), Sultan Kösen (TUR) – the Tallest man living – had feared that he might be too tall to find true love. But on 26 Oct 2013, his dream of finding a soulmate came true when he married 175-cm-tall (5-ft 9-in) Merve Dibo in Mardin, Turkey. Sultan is 76 cm (2 ft 6 in) taller than his wife.
